BM59 was a Beretta update of the M1 Garand rifle. By adding a deteachable magazine, they created a variant which was closer to Garand's original idea than the en block fed version. It is chambered for.308 ammunition. This particular example is pleasant to fire but the muzzle brake channels the blast towards people on either side of the shooter. Magazine swapping is similar to an M14. |
