Yes, it would have. Little mentioned by the press, another teenager
in the same state killed FIVE people by running them over with a
stolen car...not a weapon in conventional thinking yet deadly. Evil
intent counts as offensive weapons can be improvised. Defensive
weapons have to be purpose-built.

Kids get killed in accidents far more often than in other
